We finally got going right before noon. All this walking and festivity is taking a toll on me! The majority of minorities in Alaska are Asians. In celebration of this fact, we ate an Asian Beef sub at Alaskan Gourmet Subs for lunch. It was very good, tender and great bread.

Then off to the Outhouse Races. People literally have little outhouses with toilets inside and race them down the streets. All of them had a theme. They were hilarious!! One person had to ride inside on the throne while 4 people pushed the outhouse.

After all that elegant and distinguished display, we walked down to Resolution Park. This is an awesome park down on the inlet. There is a statue of Captain Cook there. The views are gorgeous! When we left the park we caught the free Rondy shuttle. My feet and hands were ice.

We came back to the hotel and warmed up before going out again. With hot cocoa in hand, we ended the evening by watching the fireworks display over Ship Creek. Wonderful way to end the night. Back to the room to thaw out. No one told me it was cold up here.
