Monday, January 21

We haven't been doing much since arriving back in the Last Frontier. Thankfully, it has generally been warmer than it was when we left for Christmas break. In fact, we got out of school last Monday because the weather warmed up and we got ice instead of snow. It has snowed several inches since then so it was easier to walk around downtown today.
We went down to look at the ice sculptures in town park.
Our arrival may be a few weeks too late.
As the warm temps, rain, and human activity  had taken a toll on the sculptures.
We did find a couple of intriguing remnants remaining somewhat intact.

We did get out last night and make it to the movies to see the new James Bond movie, Skyfall.
Greg and I both quite enjoyed the movie. Greg thinks Daniel Craig is the second James Bond, following Sean Connery, as everyone in between would have had Ian Fleming rolling over in his grave. But the fact that M has been played by a woman in the last 3 movies would probably have the same effect on poor Ian.
