Friday, Feb. 26th

Today was a busy day! Walked over to the Fur Rendezvous Festival. They had blocked off several sections of streets for the event. Ate lunch at the Reindeer Hot Dog/Sausage stand! Topped off the reindeer sausage with some kind of mustard labeled M.F.G. (think Mother was part of the name!) Tasted kind of like a bratwurst or Polish sausage. Pretty good. Then we watched the Championship Sled Dog Races. They were sprint dogs, not as big as the distance dogs. Exciting stuff! Walked on down to the carnival. Getting up my nerve to ride the ferris wheel. At night, we rode the bus out to the Dimond Center. Got a laptop and shopped at Wal-Mart (no escaping that store even in Alaska). For dinner, we ate at Sicily's Pizza buffet. Greg definitely got his money's worth there!!
