Saturday, April 10th

Greg went into work for a few hours. I slept a little later. After lunch, we decided to get out and roam the city. We rode on a different bus route today. We wanted to get an idea of where the school was for my interview on Wednesday. This part of town is known as the Muldoon area. The amazing thing out there was how close you actually are to the mountains. They really looked like they were in your backyard. How cool! Of course, we stayed on the bus until we were near the Fred Meyers. Wouldn't be the weekend without our fried chicken dinner. This time we brought the dinner home so we could have side items like mashed potatoes and green beans. After a delightful dinner, we started researching some apartments in the area. In 2 weeks our monthly rates double here. The price will go up for the tourist season even though a State of Alaska report yesterday predicted that there will be about 160,000 less visitors this year. For way less than the summer price to stay here, we have found several apartment options. We'll get out and take a look at them tomorrow.
